SA Reefer Gen was founded by Poen Groenewald in 2011. After retiring early, he was looking for a new challenge. Coming from an electrical and mechanical background, he saw a gap in the market for locally manufactured gensets. An idea and a brand new company was born. Since then, more than 650 gensets has been manufactured.
Our workshop is located just outside of Kraaifontein in the Western Cape. With easy access from the N1 makes this workshop ideal for services between loads. For clients operating in the northern parts of South Africa, we have an agent in the Durban area who assists with services and diagnostics.
The vision of SA Reefer Gen is become the number 1 reliable genset manufacturer in Southern Africa. As we already have gensets operating in Southern Africa, we are planning on expanding to the rest of Africa in the near future.
